I’m humbled to see the amount of responses to the Gympie Times Facebook post searching for Gympie’s Best Personal Trainer.

We’d like to thank those of you who took the time to comment, and then to later vote, on this poll.  Your responses have certainly put Cooloola Fitness in the spotlight and we appreciate the time taken to promote and support our gym.

I take pride in my work and knowing my clients and gym members are achieving results, feeling the fittest and healthiest they have in a long time, and overcoming injuries – that in itself is my ultimate reward.

Growing up on a property has meant that I was always active.  I have a love of sports and of coaching people.  I spent many years racing motorbikes semi-professionally (I had to work a regular job while racing) representing Australia twice. I have trained in Boxing, Tae Kwan Do, spent a number of years training in the Army to lead infantry, and more recently training in Kung Fu. All of these have contributed to give me a broad knowledge of the techniques required to excel not only in professional sports but in health and fitness.

I tried hard to not let much keep me down!  I’ve been through many major injuries over the last forty odd years, the worst being smashed in my car by a drunk driver. It took well over two hours for Emergency Services and the ‘jaws of life’ to cut me out.

Being in the car accident, many broken bones racing motorbikes, participating in contact sports and my time in the Army have all contributed to a lot of aches and pains, as well as quite a few pins, plates and screws in my body.

I have learnt over time to overcome these, to keep learning, keep improving and most importantly to remain positive and keep moving.

I love to teach. I love to impart my knowledge and experience for you to attain your goals. I would rather people learn from my experiences and pain, than have to experience it for themselves.

Train hard, don’t stop…….. rest………. but don’t stop !!  Some wise dude once said this, seems pretty accurate.
